Serene, Chloe, Kipper and Desiree

It is indeed with a heavy heart that we bid sad farewell to our beloved survivors of Pulau Selat Kering.  Despite our best efforts, Serene, Chloe, Kipper and Desiree have preceded us to pass over the Rainbow Bridge.

Serene, Chloe and Kipper passed away due to parvo virus infection while Desiree passed away due to liver failure. Their health were greatly weakened by the stressful and harsh conditions while marooned at Pulau Selat Kering and after a good fight, they bid us goodbye. They did not live in vain and they certainly did not die in vain. They left us with the knowledge that their unconditional faith and trust in humankind were not misplaced; for the short sweet time they were with us at Furry Friends Farm, they experienced unconditional love,warmth, securit- a second chance for life filled with dignity.

“Although your journey through life here on earth had not been easy and were fraught with lots of obstacles and suffering, you shine through every moment of it with your gentle loving spirit, resilience, your determination, and above all, your everlasting and unconditional faith, trust and love for us and for all things in live. 

 There are some amongst us who may not have appreciated your gentle presence and your unconditional love and faith, but we understand and know now what we have missed; the lessons in humanity, humility and compassion you taught us through your suffering will forever remain  within  collective conscience."
