Day 16 Of Cotton's Diary : No-Eye-See
Finally, I’m okie already! Bye-bye constipation, diarrhoea, eye discharge, lice, wiping, medicine…everything! Nanny was very busy today, she had lots of work to do that piled up during the time I was sick. I could hear a lot of sounds of keyboard typing, phone ringing, voices talking and footsteps walking. No one was free to play with me today, so I ‘kuai kuai’ sat beside nanny’s working table and slept.
“Psst Nanny…see…I told you earlier, if you let me out and I’ll behave one!” Nanny was so busy that she didn’t realize she forgot to feed me. Her fingers was stuck on the keyboard and her head looked like it had a magnet to the monitor. But I forgave her la cos I knew her brain nerves were all one directional ie she cannot multi-task! 11.00am: “Psst…Nanny, I only had breakfast you know”
No response…I continued to sleep. 1.00pm: I heard nanny get up from her chair… ‘Ting’ (I wake up) and look at nanny. She went to the washroom, then sat back infront of her computer. Still no food, so I continued to sleep again. 2.00pm: I was hungry, peeped a look at nanny…her head was still glued to the monitor, so I continued to sleep again. 3.00pm: Still no sign of feeding me…continued to sleep. ~4.00pm~ Nanny: “OHHHH! Cotton! I forgot to feed you! Oh my God! Oh my God! I feed you now!”
Cotton: “I know you forgot to feed me since 11am, but OH MY EARS! OH MY EARS! You’re so loud! Frighten me from my sleep la!” “Ouch!” Nanny knocked her feet in the haste. “Pling-plang!” Nanny dropped my nursing bottle and the spoon. Now I know why nanny always taught me to do the ‘no-eye-see-you’ trick-I think she knew sometimes I would need to use it when I really got ‘no-eye-to-see’ her!
I cannot imagine when she has kids in the future…I think Nanny, you better not! At the end of the day, Nanny was dead tired, so she told Ah Ho to feed me that night.. “No problemo! Ah Ho will sure remember to feed me one…and maybe he will even sneak me some extra milk!
Haha…yeah go, go…you go to sleep lar Nanny… nite nite!”
