An Unfortunate Terrapin

Just as Little Tommy was considered as one of the luckiest stray kittens to be humanely rescued from the busy road in the wet market of Kundang, a terrapin was too unfortunate to be seen overturned spinning in the middle of the road in Sungai Buluh. It was on a midday in one early November,  little Tommy was on its way to the vet clinic and a terrapin believed to have attempted to cross over the busy road in Sungai Buluh had met with an accident. It was upside down spinning on its own while many vehicles just passed across without crushing it.

The Terrapin With Distinct Red Colored Paint Written On The Back, Believed To Have Been Used For Religious Purposes

The little terrapin was being removed from the middle of the road and it was very much injured with a lot of blood oozing out from its mouth. Little Tommy travelled with the terrapin to the vet clinic and it was confirmed that the terrapin had an internal injury in its skull.

Dr Tan had tried to save the terrapin but unfortunately it passed away the following day.

We are indeed very sad to note that the shell of this terrapin was painted with some red paint and it is believed that this terrapin was used by certain people who are involved in some religion beliefs to and had released the terrapin after the prayer ceremony. The question here lies to why this terrapin was released in the town area and not into the nature where it could have still continue its life peacefully!

Animals sacrifice their lives for people and we cannot accept why this is happening to our non-furry kid in this case. However, we are quite relieved that this terrapin had at least spent a peaceful night at the clinic before leaving this world instead of have been crushed to death in the middle of the road ...
