Animal Cruelty Alert !

Another Case of Animal Cruelty Towards A Feline Furry Kid
 
 
This incident was reported to have happened in Serdang, Kuala Lumpur recently. It is very sad indeed to take note of how Malaysian Society is deteriorating from its Moral Value towards caring for companion animals. The video has shown a young girl cruelly beaten up defenceless kittens to death. A cat which could be the mother cat was trying to rescue the kittens from the evil hands of this cruel person. Furry Friends Farm sincerely hope all Malaysians to voice for our defenceless companion animals . Drop your signature into our Petition to urge the Malaysian Authority to revise the Animals Act.
 
Furry Friends Farm has commenced its Animal Welfare Education Programme for the International and National Schools students and teachers since 2009. In order to inculcate the Moral Value in the caring for our companion animals to our younger generation, we have to work very hard towards the Animal Welfare Education in the Malaysian Society.

Animal Cruelty Alert !

Furry Friends Farm is indeed very sad to receive the abused video where the poor poodle suffered in great pain physically and psychologically. We would like to highlight this abused case to the police and hopefully with the cooperation of the Police Force and the Enforcement Department of the Veterinary Services Department to be successfully prosecute this person for his cruel action to this poor furry kid.

With this unpleasant case to begin with the year 2011, we sincerely hope and look forward to receive more support in the Petition to revise The Animals Act 1953.  A Profoundly Disturbing News In Malaysia

 

Does the VSD authorities and the public would like to see this happening in the streets of Malaysia ?

In March 2010, a rather disturbing suggestion was made by the Veterinary Services Department (VSD) deputy director general, Dr Ahmad Suhaimi Omar, to openly allow the sale and consumption of dogs from dog pounds. Full story here : The Sun, March 7th, 2010 - Suggestion To Consume Strays Shot Down
 
Furry Friends Farm does not wish to have a Eating Dogs and Cats Culture in Malaysia. We are working very hard towards educating Malaysians to be kind to animals especially to our companion animals.

When China, a country that heavily consume dog and cat meats as it has been part of their ancient practice and culture, are taking a major step forward by having a proposed legislation passed to make the sale of cats and dogs for human consumption illegal in the country.

Are we then, as humane and compassionate Malaysians, taking a step backwards in civilization by allowing and adopting this sort of culture in Malaysia ?

We would like to ask the people and especially the Authority that if they want the image of dogs killed and hanged in the public or shops like the one investigated by AAF in China ?

Reaching Out To The Furry Kids Trapped In Disasters

Creative Animal Welfare Posters By Grey, Malaysia

Disasters are unexpected and unavoidable. During the Flood and Fire, many victims are trapped in unbearable situations and the only hope is to receive a pair of kind helping hands. There are people making efforts in saving humans and there are also people making extra efforts in stretching their hands to the furry kids.

Furry Friends Farm is much honored to be invited by Grey, a well reputed international advertising company based in the United States. Our participation in this award show in France is a big step forward to promote Animal Welfare Awareness by Animal Lovers from Malaysia.

We look look forward to the success of the final nominations where the two pieces of creative artworks created by Collin and his team from Grey, Malaysia will be shortlisted to the finals to compete for the prestigious award. The creative posters will be featured in The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival to be held from 20th -26th June 2010 in Cannes, France. Best of luck to this wonderful team at Grey, Malaysia !

Furry Friends Farm will be starting our National Roadshow Campaign starting 1st August till end of 30th September 2010. We request readers from Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Sabah & Sarawak to register with us at info@furryfriendsfarm.org.my

Petition forms written in English & Mandarin will be sent to the readers to carry out the roadshow within their own district and state. All signatures collected must reach us, in Selangor by the end of September.
